Greek Beef One Pot

Ingredients
- 700g braising steak, cubed
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 600 ml beef stock
- 300 ml passata
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 100g macaroni
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
Method
- STEP 1Preheat oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4.
- STEP 2Heat oil in a large frying pan, sear the meat then transfer to a casserole dish.
- STEP 3Fry onion till golden, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add to the beef.
- STEP 4Add the stock, passata and spices to the beef, season, stir, cover and cook for 1.5 hours.
- STEP 5Add the macaroni and cook for a further 30 mins, stir after 20 mins and add more water if it starts to look dry (the recipe can be cooked ahead to this stage, then just reheat, add the macaroni and continue to cook).
