Ingredients

  • 750g pecan nuts
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp clear honey

Method

  • STEP 1
    Heat a large heavy pan till hot
  • STEP 2
    Add nuts and salt and stir constantly for 2 minutes
  • STEP 3
    Drizzle in oil and stir till they smell toasty
  • STEP 4
    Sprinkle over chilli and cumin, stir for 2 minutes then add the honey and stir till well coated and beginning to caramelise
  • STEP 5
    Tip onto baking sheets in one layer put in to a low oven about 160 deg for 25 - 30 minutes. Leave till cold then store in airtight container
