Brand new search functionality in your app
Searching for your favourite recipes just got even easier with our new search functionality, now live on the app.
Quickly find what you need by refining and filtering recipes and collections in the BBC Good Food app. You can now sift through our recipes and refine by meal type, cuisine, ratings and more at the touch of a button. You can even search by difficulty or the total cooking time if you're in a hurry.
Plus, finding your favourite authors' and chefs' recipes has never been easier, as you can filter recipes based on whose you want to see. The app will even save your past five searches, so you can go back when you need them.
So, what are you waiting for? Get searching!

Can you enter ingredients you have in the fridge and cupboards to come up with recipe suggestions?

Can you make it so that the folders I have created for my saved recipes appear alphabetically? Unless I’m missing something, I can’t find a way.

Hi, thanks for your question. Unfortunately there's currently no way to do this but we'd love to have it as a feature. We have sent this feedback to our developers as it would be a great feature to have. Best wishes, BBC Good Food Team.

Wish I could add notes to recipes like I do in my cook books as sometimes I add ingredients or need to change cooking times

I would really like this as well.. I quite often swap ingredients and when I find something that works it would be very useful to take notes.

It would be so useful to have recipes within collections listed alphabetically

I agree. The app used to do that then they removed that helpful functionality

It would be useful to have a search facility, even if basic, for our saved recipes as the old app had. For those of us with a lot saved it's a nightmare and time consuming at the moment. Please can this be fixed?
