Summra Nasir

Summra Nasir is a qualified public health Nutritionist with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Health, specialising in type 2 diabetes, obesity and sustainable weight loss. She has several years’ experience working across public and private practice, supporting women from ethnic minority and community groups to improve their long-term health. Summra has delivered numerous nutrition and health workshops for women from Asian, South-East Asian and Middle Eastern communities, and works with clients through personalised one-to-one consultations, group workshops and corporate programmes. She is a regular BBC London Radio guest, appearing alongside journalist Asad Ahmed to discuss obesity, type 2 diabetes and health challenges within the Asian community, as well as New Year health goals. She has also spoken at multiple health events and appeared on live television (Islam Channel), sharing practical, evidence-based guidance on nutrition and health. In addition, Summra has delivered nutrition education sessions in schools and colleges. Her work has featured in magazine and newspaper articles, including SAGA and NEWS247WorldPress. Summra is passionate about evidence-based nutrition, helping people build a healthy relationship with food and make sustainable lifestyle changes to prevent long-term illness.
