Spring is in the air and in the Yarrunga Field Special Reserve we have the ultimate 'snoozing in a deckchair whilst pretending to do the gardening' wine. Also in the mixed case there’s a zingy Riesling from Chile which would be great with spicy south eastern Asian cuisine and the Visionario, a rich honeyed white blend from the north of Italy. Representing the reds there are some seriously sophisticated wines: a smooth mature Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon, an even more mature Gran Reserva from Spain and a classic red Bordeaux. This case has all bases covered.

    The wines:

    Yarrunga Field Special Reserve 2016
Palacio del Conde Gran Reserva 2010
    Château Le Coin 2014
    Riversong Riesling 2016
    Visionario 2015
    1842 Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

This spring’s white case is all about aromatic flavours and they don’t come more aromatic that Argentina’s signature white grape, Torrontes. And from over the Andes, there’s the vibrant Riversong Riesling from Chile. Then from New South Wales the Yarrunga Field Special Reserve, which is bottled sunshine. More summery joy comes in the form of a blend from the Languedoc, the aptly named Saveur du Soleil - flavour of the sun. To round off the case are two rather richer wines: first the Visionario, a blend of native north Italian and French grapes, and finally a barrel-aged Chardonnay from Sicily.

    The wines:

    Yarrunga Field Special Reserve 2016
    Riversong Riesling 2016
    Alma Andina Torrontés 2016
    Saveur du Soleil Blanc 2015
    Chardonnay i Corleonesi 2015
    Visionario 2015

    Red wine case spring

The red case contains excitement from all over the world. Representing the Old World we have the ultimate Sunday lunch wine, the Château Le Coin from Bordeaux; the Palacio del Conde Gran Reserva a mature oak-aged Tempranillo from Valencia; the herb-drenched Valcatrina from Portugal’s most dynamic wine region, Alentejo, and finally the irrepressible Affogato Rosso, a cheeky Italian sports car of a wine. Then we have two Australian crackers, a mature Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barossa Valley and a vibrant young Shiraz from Victoria. Six reasons why there has never been a more exciting time to explore wine.

    The wines:

Palacio del Conde Gran Reserva 2010
    Château Le Coin 2014
    Valcatrina 2014
    Kelly Country Shiraz 2016
