Baked Bean Chilli

A really quick and easy meal, proper comfort food for a cold evening.

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Fry the mince and the onion over a medium to high heat until browned
  2. Add the chilli and spice powder and stir
  3. Add the baked beans and simmer for approx 10-15min until the onion is soft.
  4. Season with salt & pepper to taste. Serve with boiled rice or in a wrap.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 450g/1lb beef mince
  • 2 small or 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1-2 chillis, finely chopped (or use approx 1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes or 1 teaspoon 'lazy chillis') - add more if you like it hot!
  • Half teaspoon chilli con carne powder
  • 2 x 400g baked beans
