Ingredients

  • 1 medium mango
  • 1 banana

  • 500ml orange juice
  • 4 ice cubes

Method

  1. Cut the mango down either side of the flat stone, then peel and cut the flesh into chunks.

  2. Peel and chop the banana.

  3. Put all the ingredients into a food processor or blender, then process until smooth and thick. Keep in the fridge and use the day you make it.

I want to prepare it for my family and I think that we'll love it. I want to buy a new countertop blender. Help me please to make my choice between Oster bvcb07-z 7-speed blender and Magic Bullet NutriBullet blender. I read about these blenders at the topreviews.best What can you say about this models? What blender do you have?

Loved this! I took in all the comments and decided to use a large banana and only 2/3 of the mango and 400 ml of Orange Juice. I didn't add ice (because it's November ;-) ) but it was still enough as a nice hit of vit c

After reading some comments about adding extra banana I bought extra, and did need them. I found it a bit too tart without the extra banana for my taste and I wanted a more prominent banana taste.
I also added about 2 and a half heaped tablespoons of low fat natural yoghurt for thickness and left out the ice cubes.

Great with a little grated fresh ginger added for a bit of a kick. I've also substituted the banana with melon and that works really well too.

Our supermarket had a 'mango sale' so we bought lots of them. This smoothy was one of the recipes we prepared with it. A nice healty breakfast! (the second time I made it I used half a smaller banana; that made it a little bit more fresh)
