Ingredients
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 can of chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 70g cocktail sausages
- 120g dried pasta shapes
Method
- STEP 1Gather all ingredients and equiptment
- STEP 2Finely chop the onion
- STEP 3Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan then add the onion
- STEP 4Add the can of tomatoes, tomato and garlic puree, sugar and sausage
- STEP 5Stir and add the vegetables and seasoning
- STEP 6Simmer gently uncovered for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
- STEP 7While sauce is simmering, add pasta to boiling water and cook for 10-12 minutes until soft
- STEP 8Drain pasta in collander and rinse with cold water
- STEP 9Add the sauce to the pasta, mix thouroughly and serve with fresh basil
