  • 250 gms Yellow wash moong dhal
  • 500 ml water
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped onions
  • 2 tbsp chopped deseeded tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp fresh grated coconut
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 black pepper
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate

Method

  • step 1

    Wash the dhal three times and soak in the cold water for around 4 hours
  • step 2

    Boil the dhal until the stage of aldente
  • step 3

    Strain the water and cool down the dhal
  • step 4

    Add the onions , tomatoes , Dessicated coconut and all the spices together. Mix it well
  • step 5

    Add some pomegranate on the top of the salad before serving
