Ingredients
- 2 large croissants
- chutney of your choice (optional)
- 50g thinly sliced or shredded ham
- 50g gruyère, thinly sliced or grated, plus extra grated cheese for the tops
- wholegrain or Dijon mustard, for spreading
Method
- STEP 1
Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Split the croissants through the middle, being careful not to cut all the way through, and put on a baking sheet. Spread chutney over the bases, then top with the ham and cheese.
- STEP 2
Close the croissants and spread a little mustard over the tops. Scatter over the grated cheese and some black pepper, if you like. Bake for 8-10 mins until the cheese has melted. Cool for 1-2 mins, then serve.
