We have a huge fig tree in our garden in Spain. The tree is laden with fruit ,so I looked for recipes and found the fig chutney recipe. I made it yesterday and we have just had some for lunch with fresh crusty bread.manchego cheese and jamon Serrano ......... delicious !! I shall be making some more this week.

Whilst looking for a recipe after being given a bagful of figs from friends I stumbled upon this. Incredibly easy to make and the result, a delcious sticky chutney far superior to anything you will find in the shops. Will be making more.

Hello, Thank you for your question, we haven't tested this recipe with dried figs so we can't comment on that. We do have a recipe for a chutney that uses dried figs here: I hope this helps.
