Lemon-roasted new potatoes

Method

  1. Heat oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Tip the potatoes into a large pan of boiling water, wait for the water to boil again, then cook for 5 mins. Drain, tip back into the pan and shake well to rough up the edges a little. Tip onto a baking tray, toss with the lemon zest, oil and some flaky sea salt, then roast for 30 mins until golden and crisp.

    Easy to make - I would have perhaps liked a bit more pronounced lemon flavour but they were nevertheless a tasty and popular accompaniment to steaks and salad. Would definitely make again.

    Lovely with roast duck, the lemon giving a nice edge. I will definitely be making these again-good cold too.

    Everybody loved it! Infact, my boyfriend liked it so much that I can actually bribe him by promising to make them! Super with fish. REALLY simple, too.
