  • 1 medium-sized baking potato
  • mild chilli powder or paprika
  • half a 400g can mixed pulses
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tbsp low-fat soft cheese

Method

Cut the potato into 4 wedges. Sprinkle with mild chilli powder and microwave on High for about 5 mins until cooked. Meanwhile, stir in the mixed pulses with more spice powder and the garlic clove, then heat in microwave on High for 2 mins. Spoon over the potatoes and serve with low-fat soft cheese.

Really easy to make, great recipe, though i put the wrong powder in,
Super hot chilli wedges anyone?

Very good, used mixed beans already in spicy sauce but added extra spice anyway. I used both chilli powder and paprika because I like my spice. I prefer my wedges crunchy (oven cooked) and these were a little soft, but very good for a fast and tasty snack. Yum!

Nice way to use up leftover beans. I mixed the spiced beans with the cheese and served with a jacket potato instead of wedges. Next time i'll scoop out the potato, mash it then mix with the beans and sprinkle some cheddar cheese over the top to a stronger flavour.

Great to serve with fajitas if you are cooking for a large group of people
