I love this - I love figs and was hoping to convert my husband, but no luck! I added the sliced stem ginger over the figs rather than make the marscapone cream - I had other cream to use up. Why not try the same ingredients to baked peaches?

This is very simple and lovely as a smart dessert. I would use a little more orange juice next time, as I thought the figs dried out a bit. The mascarpone is well worth doing- one of the nicest dessert accompniments I've tried, very melt-in-the-mouth. Yum!
