I made this as a birthday treat for my husband and it was very tasty (although could possibly have done with a bit more gravy in the pot).

Tried this last year and i'm still cooking it with the original ingredients, what makes it better than just good is the quality of your produce, it really needs good quality beef browned before putting into the dish and ripe good tasting large vine tomatoes for that garlicky tomato sauce.... a delicious supper. Don't forget to deglaze the meat pan for maximum flavour!

This is an excellent midweek meal. I read everyone's comment and added extra garlic and really seasoned it well. It was perfect, I was surprised by how tender the meat was, loved it a lot.

Both my husband enjoyed this dish but both said there was something missing - will be making it again but I think I'll be adding a few other ingredients to it. The dish itself is very simple to make and went really well with cauliflower instead of cabbage. For some reason it won't let me rate it - I'd give this one a 4.

I found the steak a bit dry even though I added plenty of OXO. Nevertheless it tasted lovely and was easy to make.

Made this the other night and will not be doing it again. It was lacking in taste and we could not finish it.

make this quite a lot, very easy and very tasty. i shall, next time, spread a thin layer of english mustard over the steaks and maybe leave out the garlic, for a little something extra!

This took my husband and I 35 minutes to prepare the ingredients, using a food processor. Not the 10 minutes quick mid-week recipe we were hoping for. Added herb mustard to the steaks and a little beef stock with Tabasco & Worcestershire sauce and plenty of seasoning. Delicious, but not a quick after work supper.
