  1. Heat the grill to medium and put the pork steaks on to a large baking tray lined with foil to catch the juices. Brush with a little oil and season to taste. Arrange the apricots around the pork, cut side up. Dot the apricots with the butter, then sprinkle with the chilli and sugar.

  2. Grill for 15 mins, turning the pork over half way through, until cooked and golden and the apricots are soft and sticky, but still holding their shape. Serve the apricots alongside the pork, drizzled with any sticky juices – great with vegetables and mash.

DO NOT GRILL WITH CHILLIS! This made my kitchen full of acrid smoke and kept me coughing and gagging for hours! Ended up frying the pork in a frying pans. I also used nectarines in this recipe which was great! Great recipe but won't be grilling this again!

I found this very good. It's just grilling pork chops in the usual way, but turning it into something much less boring with very little effort.

Maybe my apricots being a bit too tart has affected my rating but i didn't think there was really enough juices to make this a 'treat for 2' as stated. I thought it was rather plain.
