  • 100g breadcrumb


  1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Put the flour in a large sealable plastic bag. Season, then tip in the onion and shake well. Whisk the egg whites until foamy, add the onions and stir to coat.

  2. Lightly oil a baking sheet. Add the seasoning and breadcrumbs to the bag; then, working in batches, add the eggy onion rings and coat in the crumbs. Arrange onion rings, in a single layer, on the baking sheet and cook for 25-30 mins, turning halfway through, until the onion is tender and the crumbs are golden.

These were fantastic, tasty, easy to make and went so well with burgers. So low fat too. Will definitely be making these again. My husband suggested using curry powder instead of Cajun seasoning for something different - will be trying this next.

These were so easy and SO tasty! Burnt mine slightly so agree with the comment about making sure they don't overcook. Although saying that they were still delicious and went down a treat. Great addition to lots of meals!

these are lovely & really easy to make BUT make sure you don't over cook them as they are not nice when they are over cooked.

These were great! Healthier than the average onion ring, yet equally (if not more) delicious. Don't let the grusome picture put you off (I almost deferred); I was a little anxious about how these may turn out, but mine looked stunning! Definitely recommend these.
