  1. Bring a large pan of water to the boil, add the broccoli and cook for 3-5 mins until just tender. Drain and set aside. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a high heat, add the onion and fry for 2-3 mins until golden and starting to caramelise.

  2. Stir in the garlic and fry for 1 min more, then throw in the broccoli and cook for 2 mins until the broccoli is warmed through and coated in the onion and garlic.

This has become known as 'special broccoli' by my kids. They always ask for it as a side dish

Used ordinary broccoli instead of tenderstem. Not inspiring.
