“The privilege of a lifetime”

Lucinda captured hearts on Married at First Sight Australia with her open-hearted approach and emotional awareness. Her time on the show didn’t just win her fans—it sparked a whole new chapter in her life.

Lucinda describes her current whirlwind of activity – book tours, TV appearances, and public speaking engagements – as nothing short of a dream. “I just feel like I’m on my passion path, my soul path. That’s the privilege of a lifetime – to be received with so much joy and actually getting my offerings out and my creative... yeah, just my soul medicine out there.”

Her new book is a deeply personal project. “I felt like there’s always been a book in me,” she says. “When I got off Married at First Sight, I was really surprised that a lot of people wanted to know about my emotional intelligence and how I got to where I was from my responses.”

The result is a guided journal that blends autobiography, poetry, exercises and reflections. “It’s quite a deep dive. It’s a very meaty read and I think the reader will feel it as an experience and feel my presence there shepherding them along the way in a kind of quite light-hearted, holding, nurturing way.”

There’s even a playlist to accompany the journal. “The one that I want everybody to really be with is the medicine process playlist. That is just absolute balm for the soul. Each song is just exquisite… very igniting.”

A playful approach to life

Lucinda’s energy is infectious, and one of the things she champions most is the importance of play – even as adults. “Let’s be silly,” she laughs. “It’s just fun. Life’s a bit one-dimensional if we don’t.”

She believes play is essential to wellbeing and joy. “Just taking ordinary life and giving it a little bit of a twist… being more interactive with the world, having a laugh, being generous in space to be a bit silly.”

It’s something she brings into her work too. “There was a lot behind the scenes [on Married at First Sight]. A lot in my show that I toured with last year… dancing and getting silly. It was great!”

The same spirit flows into her upcoming role on The Honesty Box, where she’ll be guiding couples through moments of vulnerability and truth. “I get to facilitate in a very non-judgemental way – activities that bring out more of their truth, bring out more of their knowing, and reveal more of them.”

Food as soul medicine

Lucinda’s love of food is deeply rooted in both her upbringing and her current lifestyle. She lives on the Great Ocean Road in Australia, where she enjoys shopping at local farmers’ markets and cooking with fresh, organic produce.

“Let thy food be thy medicine,” she says. “At the end of the day, it is our insurance to staying radiant and pretty disease-free.”

She’s especially passionate about breakfast and brunch culture. “The cafe culture [in Melbourne] is really strong. Our brunches and breakfasts are just next level,” she says. “I love putting together a really good breakfast brunch as well.”

Her ideal brunch? “A big fat piece of sourdough with really beautiful butter, a gorgeous sort of green side dish, eggs done in a beautiful way, maybe a fresh piece of salmon or some hot ham. Just yummy, healthy, hearty.”

But she’s also refreshingly honest about indulgences. “I also love a cheeky packet of chips. I don’t mind a crisp pack. I just love the crunch,” she laughs. “Salt and vinegar or like apple cider vinegar, malt vinegar—something like that is probably my favourite.”

Lucinda’s go-to meal is a colourful salad. “Every bite has just got a bit of everything in it.” And when it comes to sweet treats, she’s proud of her healthy twist on a classic: “I’ve mastered the lumberjack cake… I do it in a healthy way with maple, dates, fresh sweet apples… every bite is just this sumptuous juicy apple and it’s healthy.”

She credits her mum for inspiring her love of food. “She’s quite a creative cook… we really enjoy cooking for each other. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. There’s always something fresh and fabulous and delicious on the plate.”

Food is also tied to Lucinda’s emotional journey. “I’ve probably got a little bit of body dysmorphic stuff… I’ve tried every diet under the sun. I can be quite mean to myself.”

But she’s learning to be kinder. “You’ve got to just laugh at yourself. We’re all having the human experience. You’ve got to take it a bit with a grain of salt, don’t you?”

The future is bright

Lucinda’s mission is clear: to help people live more authentically, joyfully and consciously. Whether it’s through food, play, self-reflection or heartfelt conversations, she’s here to encourage us all to embrace who we are.

As she puts it: “We’ve got to keep choosing to be organic beings as much as we are keeping up with technology and AI… staying radiant, eating good food, being mindful of the media we consume and the people we hang out with.”

And with her signature sparkle, she adds: “It takes a bit of work to keep up this voluptuous figure. I am five foot 10 and Amazon Glamazon. And I love life."
