Garlic & basil ciabatta

Method

  1. Heat the grill to high. Beat together the mayonnaise, butter and garlic cloves until smooth. Chop basil, stir through and season with salt and pepper. Put the halves of the ciabatta, sliced lengthways, on a baking tray and spread with the butter. Sprinkle with grated parmesan, then grill for 2-3 mins.

    I served this with a butternut squash lasagne and it was fabulous! All of it went! I think I got a loaf of bread that was slightly too thick and so I should have put more of the mixture into the bread, but it was fantastic anyway.

    Delicious..I tried mixing the parmesan into the butter garlic basil mayo mixture and then spreading onto the ciabatta..I also used 2 tbsp of mayo..Family loved it..
