Ingredients

  • 800 gr potatoes
  • 200 gr bacon lardons
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 res onion in rings
  • 2 gloves of garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 200ml double cream or creme fraiche
  • 50 gr grated cheese

Method

  • STEP 1
    boil the potatoes 15 minutes. Cool them and cut them into slices
  • STEP 2
    In the mantime fry of the bacon lardons with the thyme and garlic
  • STEP 3
    preheat the oven at 180 C
  • STEP 4
    Put half of the potato slices in an ovenproof dish and season them.
  • STEP 5
    put half of the bacon and the red onion over it.
  • STEP 6
    repeat this with the rest of the potatoes and bacon and onion
  • STEP 7
    Whisk the eggs with the cream and season it. Pour this over the potatoes. Cover it with the grated cheese
  • STEP 8
    Bake the potatoes in the oven for 30 minutes
