Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg beef mince
  • 1/2 kg pork mince
  • 2 slices of fresh bread made into crumbs
  • 1 packet of dry mushroom simmer soup mix (or try mushroom, tomato, mixed veg, french onion or anything that takes your fancy!)
  • 3 beef stock cubes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 3 cloves of fresh garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 large egg

Method

  • STEP 1
    Add all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl
  • STEP 2
    Mix thoroughly to evenly distribute all the seasonings
  • STEP 3
    Pack the mixture into a loaf tin
  • STEP 4
    Bake at gas mark 6 for about an hour or until the meat is cooked.
  • STEP 5
    Serve with mash and a choice of veggies.
