  • 175 gr sugar
  • Lemon rind, cinnamon bark
  • 150ml red wine
  • 150ml water

Method

  • STEP 1
    Slowly bring red wine, water, cinnamon bark, lemon rind and sugar to the boil, stir until the sugar dissolves
  • STEP 2
    Pop in the pears and poach for half an hour or so.
