  • 4 eggs (at room temp) - with orange peel & essence
  • 250g butter (1 Lurpak)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk

    Method

    • step 1

      Cream butter & sugar until light and fluffy
    • step 2

      Beat eggs, then add to mixed sugar & butter gradually while beating
    • step 3

      Pour 1\3 of the flour and mix in well
    • step 4

      Pour in 1\2 milk and mix well
    • step 5

      Now alternate between flour and milk until ingredients are blended in. (Always end rotation in flour)

    I baked my cake for about half an hour, in the middle of the oven and checked on it every 10 minutes

    This was a good recipe, but you didn’t add the oven temp, or how long to bake it for. This made my cake burnt, although it tasted alright in the middle. Hope this helps other users!
