• Onion chopped - crushed garlic clove
  • 500g minced steak
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander
  • I tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • large tin red kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Veg stock cube


  • STEP 1
    Heat oil in pan Add onion and fry until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 min more
  • STEP 2
    Add mince and brown.
  • STEP 3
    Add all spices mix throughly and fry for 1-2 mins Add marjoram, tom puree and chopped tomatoes plus half can of water Add veg stock cube. Cook for 20 mins
  • STEP 4
    Add kidney beans cook for another 10-15 mins. Serve with basmati rice or garlic bread
