Ingredients
- 123g sifted self raising flour
- 1/8 tea spoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon baking power
- 2 egg yolks
- 235ml milk
- 4tablespoon butter melted
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon sugar optional
Method
- STEP 1Sift the dry ingredients together
- STEP 2In a another bowl mix the yolks most of the milk and the melted butter together until smooth
- STEP 3Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the mixed wet ingredients all at once. Stir until just combined don't over mix
- STEP 4Beat the egg white until light and fluffy and soft peaks appear add sugar to the egg . Fold the egg white gently into the batter add milk as necessary to get the right consistently
- STEP 5Pour the mix into the hot pan with a little oil approximately half way up cook until golden brown and then flip the pan to the other side
