Cinnamon and Vanilla Cake

easy to bake and too easy to eat! close textured and very more-ish! TIP: best served slightly warm


  • 20cm cake tin
  • 125g sugar
  • 125g self raising flour
  • 125g butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1tblsp whole milk
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2tsp vanilla paste


  • STEP 1
    preheat oven to 180°
  • STEP 2
    grease and line tin
  • STEP 3
    cream sugar and butter until smooth
  • STEP 4
    beat in the eggs
  • STEP 5
    add in the vanilla paste
  • STEP 6
    sift in the flour and cinnamon
  • STEP 7
    add in the milk
  • STEP 8
    pour into tin and smooth out until even
  • STEP 9
    bake for 20-25mins
  • STEP 10
    leave to cool for 5mins before removing from the tin
  • STEP 11
    place on wire rack until cool
  • STEP 12
    cut, serve and enjoy!
