Ingredients

  • 750g red cabbage
  • 350g Bramley apples
  • 50g butter
  • 250g onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg ;cinamon
  • 4tbsp brown sugar
  • 4tbsp white wine vinegar

Method

  • STEP 1
    Prepare the oven 160c/140c shred the cabbage.
  • STEP 2
    Core and finely chop apples and soften them in butter for about 5 mins.peel and finely chop the onions add to apples and garlic
  • STEP 3
    Soften for 5 mins then add sugar and spices.tip in cabbage mix then add vinegar and mix, put Mixture in casserole dish and cover put in oven for 3 hrs until soft leave to stand in oven over night to mature taste.then put in bags to freeze.
