Ingredients

  • 6 slices of white bread
  • 1 pint of milk
  • 2tbsp of birds custard powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • mixed fruit
  • 1 tsp nutmeg

Method

  • STEP 1
    To start cut all the crusts of the bread then butter and cut into triangles
  • STEP 2
    sprinkle bread with the mixed fruit
  • STEP 3
    into a jug mix the custard powder ,sugar and a little of the milk together
  • STEP 4
    Pour the rest of the milk into a pan and stir till boiling
  • STEP 5
    When the milk is boiling pour the custard mix into it and whisk till thick
  • STEP 6
    Pour custard over bread and fruit then sprinkle with the nutmeg
  • STEP 7
    place into a 180c oven for 10-20 minutes or until brown
