This is a bread and butter pudding that I make for my friend paul every time I see him

  • 6 slices of white bread
  • 1 pint of milk
  • 2tbsp of birds custard powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • mixed fruit
  • 1 tsp nutmeg


  1. To start cut all the crusts of the bread then butter and cut into triangles

  2. sprinkle bread with the mixed fruit

  3. into a jug mix the custard powder ,sugar and a little of the milk together

  4. Pour the rest of the milk into a pan and stir till boiling

  5. When the milk is boiling pour the custard mix into it and whisk till thick

  6. Pour custard over bread and fruit then sprinkle with the nutmeg

  7. place into a 180c oven for 10-20 minutes or until brown
