Ingredients
- 1/2 kg mutton cut into cubes
- 2 onions, finely sliced
- 3 medium potatoes
- 1/4 cup shelled peas, boiled
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- 2 dry red chillies
- 1 cup milk
Grind to a powder :
- 2" piece cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 1 cardamom
- 1 tsp dhansak masala
Method
- STEP 1Peel potatoes and cut each into 8 pieces.
- STEP 2Heat 2 tbsp oil and fry sliced onion till brown. Add ginger garlic paste, cumin powder and cook for 5 mins.
- STEP 3Add meat and brown well. Add potatoes, red chillies, 1 cup water and 1 1/2 tsp salt. Bring to boil.
- STEP 4Add more water, if necessary and cook till meat is tender. Cook till 2 cups gravy remains.
- STEP 5Add boiled peas, powdered spices. Serve hot.
