Rub the salt into the chicken and place onto a deep baking tray If chicken legs are used, place these from the side with less skin.

Chop the butter into wide thin pieces and cover the top of the chicken.

Pour the lager into the baking tray and place this into the oven. The oven should be pre-heated to 240C. After 20 min turn the chicken on the other side and cover this with the rest of the butter. Bake for a further 20 min until golden.
