Ingredients
Pastry
- 225g plain flour
- 100g butter
- Pinch of salt
- 2-3 tbsp of water
Filling
- 225g plain flour
- 100g butter
- Pinch of salt
- 2-3 tbsp of water
- Jam of your choice
Method
- STEP 1Sift the flour into a large bowl, then dice and add the butter. Rub it in until it looks like fine breadcrumbs.
- STEP 2Add a pinch of salt.
- STEP 3Add the water and mix to make a firm dough.
- STEP 4Roll out the pastry so that it is as thick as a pound coin. Use the pastry cutter to make the suitable shapes. Put the shapes into the muffin tins.
- STEP 5Put in your jam (I used Strawberry and Blackcurrent jam)
- STEP 6Bake at 200C/180C fan/gas 6 for 12-15 mins, or until the tarts are a golden colour.
