Cake
- 150g self-raising flour
- 120g caster sugar
- 100g margarine
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
Icing
- 150g self-raising flour
- 120g caster sugar
- 100g margarine
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- icing sugar
- water
- food colouring (optional)
Method
- STEP 1Preheat an oven to 190C
- STEP 2In a bowl add all cake ingredients
- STEP 3Mix until it is a smooth, creamy batter
- STEP 4Pour into a cake tin and spread right to the edges. Flatten the top.
- STEP 5Now make up the icing. Add icing sugar to a bowl. Pour in 1 teaspoon of water until it is slightly runny and there are now lumps. Ad food colouring for a burst of colour
- STEP 6Take the cake out of the oven. Wait until it is completely cool and then coat the top in icing. Add toppings if desired.
