A luxurious lemon drizzle cake. Easy to make and a great treat for all ages to enjoy!

  • 6oz Self Raising Flour
  • 1tsp Baking Powder
  • 6oz Butter
  • 6oz Caster Sugar
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • Finley Grated rind of 2 lemons


  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 4oz Caster Sugur


  1. Sift flour and baking powder into a big bowl

  2. Add all other cake ingredients into bowl and beat until smooth

  3. Pour into a greased/baselined 2lb loaf tin

  4. Bake in preheated oven 180C for 45-1hr

  5. Put lemon juice and sugar in a pan and heat gently until the sugar has dissolved

  6. Drizzle syrup over warm cake so it soaks into the cake
