preheat the oven gas mark 5 for 5mins before baking

with a mixing bowl fold selfraising flour butter and icing sugar together with a small amount of hot water around 4tbsp to make the pastry leave to rest in a tarte tatin tin

peel and core your apple, cut into wedges. par boil the apple pieces with the lemon juice and 4 tbsp of water untill soft remove from pan whole

arrange par boiled apples onto pastry base and bake in the oven untill golden, cooking time 10 mins

with a seperate pan mix butter granulated sugar and molasses sugar together with the double cream. heat until golden finally pour toffee sauce over the tarte tatin and allow to cool before eating can be eaten with a dollop of vanilla ice cream although optional
