• 250g white flour
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 150g unsalted butter
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 80 chunky chic chips


  • STEP 1
    Add to a mixing bowl the flour, butter and sugar first and crumble into breadcrumb texture
  • STEP 2
    Add a little of the egg (you will not need the whole egg) until it forms a dough and then add the chocolate chips to the mix
  • STEP 3
    Put the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. Whilst waiting place a sheet of baking parchment on a baking tray
  • STEP 4
    roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to approx 1/2 inch thick and either use a large cookie cutter or by hand shape into cookies and place on baking tray
  • STEP 5
    Place in oven at 190 degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden and soft. Cool for 5 minutes, but great enjoyed warm
