  • Fenugreek Leaves
  • Green Chillies
  • Garlic
  • Plain White Rice
  • Coriander leaves
  • Cumin seeds
  • Mustard seeds
  • Bay Leaf
  • Salt
  • Dry Coconut Powder
  • Lemon juice

For the masala

  • Green Chillies
  • Coriander leaves
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • Garlic
  • Oil


  1. Prepare the mixture in a blender by adding all the masala ingredients

  2. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds and Bay leaf and saute for a minute.

  3. Now add the masala and the the chopped fenugreek leaves and saute for until leaves are half cooked. Later on add the rice and water in 1:2 ratio and mix well.

  4. Finally add the coconut powder, salt and lemon juice and mix properly. Close the lid and cook until the rice is done
