A simple breakfast bar recipe using just four ingredients which can be added to to suit your own tastes. This version uses chocolate and cranberries and is a cheaper alternative to the super-sweet store bought bars.

- 100g self raising flour
- 3 tablespoons butter/margarine
- 40g sugar

- Large handful dried cranberries
Method
step 1
Mix together the dry ingredientsstep 2
Mix in the softened butter - this is easier using the same action as the creaming methodstep 3
Push down into the bottom of an ovenproof dish - if too sticky, coat fingertips with a little flour firststep 4
Bake for 15-20 minutesstep 5
Wait until fully cooled then cut and serve
