  • 75g pudding rice
  • 375ml semi skimmed milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar

    Method

    • step 1

      ADD the rice, milk and sugar to a saucepan.
    • step 2

      Bring to the boil on the hob.
    • step 3

      Turn down to simmer slowly for 30 - 40 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure it doesn't catch on the bottom.
    • step 4

      Serve with stewed fruit, raisins, cinnamon or honey.

    I make this for children and find it keeps well (they eat it cold too) so I don't use the sugar at all and mash a banana into the rice.
