Easy Homemade Victoria Sponge Cake

Ingredients
For The Cake:
- 500g Flour
- 400g Sugar
- 200ml Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 150g Unsalted Butter
For The Filling:
- 500g Flour
- 400g Sugar
- 200ml Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 150g Unsalted Butter
- 250g Strawberry Jam
- 250g Whipping Cream
For The Decoration:
- 500g Flour
- 400g Sugar
- 200ml Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 150g Unsalted Butter
- 250g Strawberry Jam
- 250g Whipping Cream
- 2 Strawberries
- 50g Powdered Sugar
Method
- STEP 1In a big mixing bowl, mix together the flour and sugar. Then add in your eggs, one by one.
- STEP 2Once all combined, add in your milk slowly.
- STEP 3Pour your cake mix equally between two 8 inch baking tins. Spray your baking tins with non stick baking spray.
- STEP 4Carefully take your cakes out of the oven and leave aside to cool for about 20 - 25 minutes.
- STEP 5In a separate mixing bowl, beat your whipping cream until fluffy.
- STEP 6On one cake, spread the cream and on the other spread your strawberry jam. Then put the cake with the strawberry jam on top of the one with the cream.
- STEP 7Next, sift your powdered sugar on top of the cake and cut your 2 strawberries in half and put them on top of the cake.
- STEP 8Enjoy your great cake!
