Chicken wings marinated in Spicy marinade and oven cooked

  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp grated onion
  • 100 ml water
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 4 chicken wings


    1. Prepare the marinade by mixing all the ingredients together (except chicken)
    2. Place chicken pieces in a bowl
    3. Pour marinade over the chicken and marinade in refrigerator overnight
    4. Preheat oven to 200C/400F/Gas Mark 6
    5. Place chicken pieces on a roasting rack and cook for 25 minutes. Use the marinade to baste the chicken occasionally.

Thought I would try this recipe very tasty but could have been a wee bit spicier for our liking, but overall wld make again possibly in the summer for the BBQ with extra splashes of tabasco
