  • 2tsp oil
  • 200g bacon lardons
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1 crushed garlic clove
  • 1tbsp English mustard powder
  • 2tbsp maple surup
  • 1tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 415g can baked beans


  1. Heat oil and fry lardons for 5mins until crisp. Add onion and garlic and cook gently until soft

  2. Stir in mustard powder, maple syrup, vinegar and baked beans. Cook for 5mins until hot.

  3. Season and serve
