Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium broccoli, blended
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • black ground pepper
  • 1 egg yolk

Method

  • STEP 1
    Before blending it, put broccoli in a bowl of water for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 200 C.
  • STEP 2
    Heat olive oil in a pan, cook onion in it until soft, then add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Add blended broccoli and cook for 3 more minutes stirring constantly. Put the mixture into a bowl and let it cool down. Add beaten egg, feta, nutmeg and black pepper to taste. Mix well.
  • STEP 3
    Cut the sheets of puff pastry into small squares approx. 5X5 cm. Spread egg yolk on top for the pastry to have a nice colour. Put one tea spoon of the broccoli mixture in the middle of each square. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
