Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium broccoli, blended
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • black ground pepper
  • 1 egg yolk

Method

  1. Before blending it, put broccoli in a bowl of water for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 200 C.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan, cook onion in it until soft, then add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Add blended broccoli and cook for 3 more minutes stirring constantly. Put the mixture into a bowl and let it cool down. Add beaten egg, feta, nutmeg and black pepper to taste. Mix well.

  3. Cut the sheets of puff pastry into small squares approx. 5X5 cm. Spread egg yolk on top for the pastry to have a nice colour. Put one tea spoon of the broccoli mixture in the middle of each square. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
