Dauphinois potatoes, milk cream and nutmeg

  • 150ml milk
  • 150ml double cream
  • King Edward potatoes
  • Nutmeg
  • Garlic


  1. Peel and cut potatoes into thin slices, put in bowl of cold water to get rid of any starch

  2. Pat them dry with a clean tea town and layer in oven proof dish , on each layer season with salt, pepper and garlic

  3. Mix milk and cream together in a bowl, and pour onto the potatoes

  4. Finally add some nutmeg on top and place in oven
