Ingredients

Ingredients for the cake

  • 5oz self raising flour
  • 4oz Non salted butter
  • 4oz Caster sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 lemon ( Zest )
  • 1 tsp Baking powder

For the glaze

  • Juice 1 lemon
  • 3oz sugar

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 fan/gas 5

  2. Crease your pan and lay down baking parchment, then grease the parchment, this makes for a clean finish.

  3. Add all of your cake ingredients and mix thoroughly.

  4. Add the batter into the well greased tin and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown
