Ingredients

  • 275g s.r. flour
  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 225g demerara sugar
  • 50g raisins
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 175ml milk
  • 225g dessert apples, peeled, cored and chopped

Method

  • STEP 1
    Sift flour and cinnamon into bowl and stir in the sugar and raisins
  • STEP 2
    mix in melted butter, eggs, milk and apples and beat till smooth
  • STEP 3
    pour into prepared 20cm square cake tin
  • STEP 4
    bake for about 1hr 15mins until cake springs back when pressed.
  • STEP 5
    cool on wire rack
