Ingredients

  • Chopped Broad Beans 500 gms
  • Sunflower Oil 2 Tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Split Chillies 4 gms
  • Black Gram 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  • Grated coconut 4 Tbsp
  • Salt 3 tsp.
  • Water 250 ml

Method

  • STEP 1
    Take 500 gms (1/2 Kg) of chopped Broad Beans. Wash well in cold running water.
  • STEP 2
    Cook in a pressure cooker with 250 ml water.
  • STEP 3
    Take it out from the cooker and filter it using a colander.
  • STEP 4
    Take a wok, pour 2 Tbsp Sunflower oil. When the oil get heated, add 1 tsp Mustard seeds when its splutters add Black Gram 2 tsp and Split Chillies 4 gms, fry till golden brown.
  • STEP 5
    Now add the cooked Broad Beans, 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder, 1/4 Asafoetida powder, 3 tsp Salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 6
    Finally add 4 Tbsp Grated coconut. Again mix well.
  • STEP 7
    Hot Broad Beans Coconut Curry is ready to serve.
