  • Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Grated Ginger - 3/4 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon (adjust as per taste)
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Very finely chopped coriander leaves - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Optional - Chopped green finger chilli for heat - 1

Method

  • step 1

    In a mixing bowl take yogurt.
  • step 2

    Add ginger, sugar, cumin powder, salt and whisk.
  • step 3

    Now add water and mix it into the yogurt thoroughly.
  • step 4

    Add coriander leaves and mix again.
  • step 5

    Serve in a glass and enjoy a cool refreshing drink in the summer.

    You can add finely chopped mint leaves for a different flavour.
  • step 7

    You can make the same drink with just salt. If you add less water, the yogurt will have a thicker consistency, which can be mixed with plain cooled cooked rice and enjoyed with your favourite pickle or curry.
