Mattha is made from yogurt. Mattha is a quick, healthy and refreshing summer drink from India and can be served any time. It keeps your body hydrated. Many people regularly consumed it at the end of a meal, as it also helps with digestion.
Very finely chopped coriander leaves - 1/2 tablespoon
Optional - Chopped green finger chilli for heat - 1

In a mixing bowl take yogurt.

Add ginger, sugar, cumin powder, salt and whisk.

Now add water and mix it into the yogurt thoroughly.

Add coriander leaves and mix again.

Serve in a glass and enjoy a cool refreshing drink in the summer.

You can add finely chopped mint leaves for a different flavour.

You can make the same drink with just salt. If you add less water, the yogurt will have a thicker consistency, which can be mixed with plain cooled cooked rice and enjoyed with your favourite pickle or curry.
