Ingredients
4 Apples
200g Plain white flour
100g Butter
100g muscovado sugar
50g Oats, to top
Method
STEP 1
Preheat fan oven to 200. Use an apple slicer to slice the apples and then chop the segments in half. Spread evenly on the base of a baking dish and place in fridge so the apples don't go brown.
STEP 2
Add the flour and butter to a large mixing bowl and roughly slice the butter until in thick strips. You should now be able to combine the two together easily with your hands - you need to get it to look and feel like breadcrumbs.
STEP 3
Sift in the the brown muscovado sugar to the crumble mix, getting rid of any lumps. Now spread over apples and top with the oats. Bake for 30-40 mins. Serve hot with cream, custard or ice cream and even some blackberries if possible.
