Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil/ghee
  • 6 tomatoes wedged
  • 1 inch ginger matchsticked
  • chillies - 2-3
  • garlic
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • large onion chopped
  • cubed chicken
  • tomato puree - 750ml water & 1 tube of puree (200g)

Spices

  • 2 tbsp oil/ghee
  • 6 tomatoes wedged

  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • large onion chopped
  • cubed chicken
  • tomato puree - 750ml water & 1 tube of puree (200g)
  • 2 tsp Coriander
  • 2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 tsp cumin

Method

  • STEP 1
    Heat the oil and cook onion till soft with a pinch of salt
  • STEP 2
    Add garlic, ginger, chillies and cook to soft
  • STEP 3
    Add tomatoes and raise heat. Cook till they start breaking up
  • STEP 4
    add spices and stir through
  • STEP 5
    add chicken and coat in mixture
  • STEP 6
    Add tomato puree mixture
  • STEP 7
    reduce heat and put a lid on and reduce the sauce
  • STEP 8
    add garam masala at the end
